ECFA Selects Diamondback Drugs as Primary Compounding Pharmacy Partner to Help Enhance and Ensure Compliance Standards

As a national organization, Eye Care for Animals is committed to the adherence of compliance standards set forth by each state’s Board of Pharmacy for the safety, quality and efficacy of drugs to provide desired outcomes.  In order to maintain consistent and ongoing compliance in each of the 16 States we operate veterinary ophthalmology practices, ECFA has made the decision to utilize Diamondback Drugs as our primary compounding pharmacy partner.  Among the many reasons Diamondback Drugs was selected are the following:

• Licensed in all 50 states
• Employs a full-time compliance department directed by a Licensed Pharmacist (R.Ph.)
• Certified by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care as a PCAB (Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board) Certified Pharmacy
• Vet-Vipps (Veterinary Verified Internet Pharmacy Practice Sites) Accredited
• 1 of only 3 pharmacies in the United States to be dual certified for STERILE PCAB

Due to ever-changing regulations by each state’s pharmacy board, we feel this move helps raise the bar for patients and helps ensure confidence throughout our organization that the products we supply have passed the proper quality and sterility measures required to provide desired outcomes and be in compliance with the latest regulations.

While ECFA will be using Diamondback Drugs internally throughout our practices, we will ALWAYS support each client’s decision regarding who they choose to fill or refill their pet prescriptions.
