Rachel Lisankis, VMD, DACVO

Dr. Lisankis grew up in Rockville, Maryland. She received her undergraduate degree from Harvard University in 2009, and her Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris (VMD) degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2013, after which she spent two years in New York. She completed a small animal rotating internship at the Animal Medical Center in 2014 and an ophthalmology internship at Long Island Veterinary Specialists in 2015. She then relocated to the Midwest, and in 2018 she completed a three-year residency in ophthalmology at Iowa State University in Ames, IA. She went on to become a board certified Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists in that same year, followed by two years of working in Wisconsin and Illinois. In July 2020, Dr. Lisankis joined our Eye Care for Animals Annapolis Defense Highway, MD practice.
