Demitrius Washington, DVM, Ophthalmology Resident

Dr. Demitrius Washington earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2008, his Master’s degree in Animal Science in 2011 from Prairie View A&M University, and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2018 from Tuskegee College of Veterinary Medicine and is a member of the Phi Zeta Veterinary honors program. Following graduation, he completed a rotating companion animal medicine and surgery internship at North Carolina State University. He spent two years as a comparative ophthalmology resident at North Carolina State University before joining the Eye Care for Animals Residency program in 2023, under the supervision of Dr. Steve Sisler in the Lees Summit, Missouri office. In his free time, he likes to spend as much quality time with his family- Ebony, Dj, Daniel, Layla, and Sage.
