Congratulations Reuben Merideth, DVM, DACVO!

Dr. Merideth has been named Tucson Wildlife Center’s (TWC) first ever Person of the Year and will be honored at the organization’s February 25, 2018 benefit.

TWC is the only wildlife rescue remaining in Southern Arizona. In the past few years, 12 others have closed. This leaves TWC to now care for 3500 animals with no additional funding—a sudden 233% increase.

Dr. Merideth is a 20+ year volunteer service provider to Tucson Wildlife Center.  As the 1981 Founder of Eye Care for Animals, Dr. Merideth started the first specialty non-university based Residency program.  Today, the ECFA practice and Residency model has been used as the prototype for other specialties in veterinary medicine across the country.

Not only is it exciting for a member of the veterinary community to be honored, but it’s especially gratifying that someone as deserving as Dr. Merideth is recognized for his visionary service – both in veterinary care and leadership.
