"Dr. Kennard is amazing - incredibly knowledgeable and up to date. No matter how busy he is, he always takes time to answer my numerous questions. He keeps me well informed about my dog's care and the rationale for all aspects of his treatment, and also about what to expect and plan for in the future. He is gentle and caring with my dog and patient and compassionate toward me. Combine that with his tremendous expertise, and it would not be possible to find a better facility or vet. The technicians and assistants are always professional yet kind as well."
~Beth R.
"Dr. Kennard is by far the most amazing Dr. I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He is so warm and kind to both myself and Ginger; as well as her sister, Emmy who tags along. He went over the instructions we needed and was very patient with all of our questions we had. Not once did we ever feel like we were being rushed or like we were bothering him. I can't say enough about his fabulous assistant (I'm sorry, I forgot his name!) who was just as wonderful. The entire staff treats us with respect and treats our dogs like we do - a member of the family. Eye Care for Animals is the best and we will definitely recommend them to anyone who needs a stellar, top notch company who takes their jobs seriously and actually care! Thank you to Dr. Kennard and the entire staff at Eye Care for Animals!"

"First of all, I want to thank those [Pebblecreek] residents that highly recommended Dr. Norman for my dog, Jake's, eye surgery. Yes, you were right: She is the best in terms of professionalism, and caring.
Jake, my 9 year old rescue dog, developed diabetes, and, subsequently, cataracts which deprived him of sight in both eyes. It was heart breaking to see Jake learning his way around the house, bumping his head into walls, etc. However, he managed fairly well.
I inquired through this media, I received many responses recommending Dr. Norman, and apprising me of successful experiences with surgery to restore their pets' eyesight. So, on January 14, Dr. Norman successfully performed surgery on Jake, removed the natural lenses in both eyes and implanted artificial lenses. The next day, Jake could see again, and what a difference it has made in his life, he is so happy and it shows. Oh, he has to wear a cone (aka lamp shade) for 2 or 3 weeks, and for a while we have to put ophthalmic drops in his eyes several times a day; but, it is all worth considering the happiness we brought in Jake's life.
Why did I write Jake's story? I have done it primarily as a Thank You to Dr. Norman, and to apprise any owner whose pet may have the same health problem that there is a solution, it is called Dr. Norman."

"We wish we had gotten our Lab to Dr. Church months ago. I have been cleaning out his eyes for months and they have gotten so much worse and it's just become such an emotional experience for me. We had only seen a regular vet here in Yuma where we live.
After seeing Dr. Church who spent so much time with us to explain why our Lab has these dry eyes and just how the eyes work. We were SO impressed and relieved. It has only been three days and already his eyes are so much better from the medication and the eye drops. To see him improving instead of getting worse has been such a big, big relief. We are SO grateful to Eye Care. As I said, only regret is wish we had gotten him to you sooner! We would highly recommend Eye Care to anyone who has a pet with eye problems. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!"

"Dr. Norman is an exceptionally compassionate, professional, and skilled doctor with wonderful communication skills and "bedside manner". My cat's primary care veterinarian recommended her; when Dr. Norman moved from the Phoenix practice to Avondale, I transferred my cat to that office in order for her to remain under Dr. Norman's care. I live in central Phoenix, so the Avondale location is much farther away, but this was of no consequence to me as long as my cat could continue to be seen by Dr. Norman. She projects a positive, caring demeanor and always takes the time to answer all of my questions and explain all of the aspects of caring for my cat's multiple congenital eye issues. I would not trust my cat to anyone but Dr. Norman."

"It is so comforting to have a doctor that listens and explains everything for the care of my Yorkie, Kiba. Our family is feeling very hopeful that under Dr. Park's care, Kiba will have a positive outlook in his eye care.
Thank You, Dr. Park and Sheldon! :)"
~ Rosita D.
"I can't even tell you how wonderful Sheldon and Dr. Park were with Canyon and with us. They were gentle, kind, and answered all our questions. Canyon passed away this week and I called to cancel our appointment. The receptionist was kind, and we received a hand written sympathy card from Dr. Park and Sheldon. I can't even tell you how wonderful that was. Thank you for helping us though his illness and his death."
~Amy G.
"We had a great experience. They were prepared to stay late on a Friday night to perform surgery on my dog's only eye to save his sight. They were able to move the day's appointments around to take him in immediately. They saved his sight and a great deal of anxiety and tears on our part. They were so caring and professional in their approach. They completely eased our concerns of handing over our beloved Boston to strangers. They took all the necessary time to thoroughly explain the procedure and follow-up care, as well as answering all our questions. We would not hesitate to HIGHLY recommend them to others."
~Carl & Kate F.
"When I adopted my Pekingese from Chicago Canine Rescue, which specializes in placing dogs with medical issues, it was suggested I take him to Eye Care for Animals because he has a scar on one cornea and pigmentary keratosis in both eyes. Dr. Park did surgery in April 2010. We have been faithful with eye drops and now the healthy eye has almost totally cleared. We can't tell what he sees in the damaged eye but he can actually catch flies! He now loves to chase balls and toys which he did not when we got him. We are so pleased with the results and love going back to visit Dr. Park."
~Lynn L.
"It was my first visit with my pet - overall, it was an excellent experience. Staff was courteous and caring, Dr. Mohoric was very thorough and explained all the details very well. If Emmett or Neo ever have an eye problem again, I'll certainly come back!"
~Jolie R.
"Every time I have been in, the staff has been WONDERFUL! Like most cats, mine is fussy and everyone that works with her is gentle and understanding - while still getting the job done. Dr. Mohoric is fantastic, as is the rest of the staff. So glad I found you guys!"

"Dr. Fahrer and the staff far exceeded all of my expectations. Her people and pet bedside manner is incredible. She personally called me with an update on tests and surgery. She answered all of my questions and insisted I call if any problems or concerns came up after we spoke or I took the dog home. She worked her schedule to fit mine. I could go on but I'm sure you've heard it all before.
The rest of the staff was also fantastic. Even if they were not involved in Riddler's care they all approached me to make sure I didn't need anything and to make sure he was comfortable.
I feel very fortunate to have been referred to Dr Fahrer and will let my primary care vet know how thrilled I was with his choice and recommendation.
Please let everyone know how much I appreciate their time and attention."

"I could not have asked for a better experience, they were so thorough, and yet so sweet and gentle with my pup. They clearly explained everything as they were examining her, and put Chevy's wellness and comfort as a priority. I would not hesitate to return."

"Lori was very nice and helpful over the phone when I had to call to get directions and in person as well. I enjoyed meeting Dr. Kaese for the first time, she was very personable and informative. I think she was very thorough and took her time with my 5 aussies that were there for the CERF clinic. This was my second time coming here for a CERF clinic and I am very happy with the care and treatment of my dogs, I will return!!!!
I am glad I found this location for my yearly CERF clinics and to also find that there are other services available here for any future health related problems that might arise with my animals."

"Both ladies [Dr. Urbanz and Monica] were especially interested in Zoe (my therapy dog) and asked questions not only about her vision and eyes, but also about her volunteer work. Dr. Urbanz took the time to see her tricks and was ready with treats as well. Their concern and interest was truly genuine. They made Zoe feel special and comfortable and allowed me to take a few photos, so Zoe could post them on her Facebook page and blog. I want to thank them as well as ACVO and Merial for providing this exam service to service dogs as well as certified therapy dogs."
~Diane B.
"The whole staff treated my dog & I with compassion and professionalism that was more than I expected. They provided excellent knowledge and comfort in my decision process. Jack has healed completely and is back to chasing squirrels again. Has favorite pastime."
~Cindy C.
"Everyone on the Eye Care for Animals staff is kind, caring, gentle with my dog, competent, and professional. I love this clinic and feel extremely fortunate to have Dr. Urbanz on my dog's healthcare team!"
~Susan T.
"From the time I walked in your Eye Care for Animals facility, until I walked out, my pet was treated by the doctor and staff, as if she were one of their own personal family member. Let alone mine.
I cannot say enough about Doctor Urbanz. She gave my pet her sight back. That's something you cannot put a price on. Now, after her surgery, when I watch Annie follow me with her eyes as I walk anywhere in her presents, I thank doctor Urbanz. She was not only there for me professionally, but I got the distinct feeling that she is in this profession for something you never feel anymore. SHE TRULY CARES!!!!!!!!!!
I work with cancer patients at a local hospital for a living. I work with many doctors, side by side. And I can say with all honestly, I would give anything to work with a doctor as dedicated, and gifted, as doctor Urbanz. She is faultless!"

"Dr. Sturgeon and his staff were phenomenal. We visited the office after Bandit had emergency eye surgery when his eye was accidentally ruptured. Bandit's eye healed beautifully, but unfortunately other health issues caused my boy to pass at the end of July that year. Dr. Sturgeon and his staff even sent a sympathy card after Bandit's passing which meant a lot to me. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone who needed it!"

"I just want to say that Dr. Hoffman is wonderful. The first time we visited, she walked in the room introduced herself and then say on the floor to visit with her patient while she explained what she would be doing and looking for. The fact that she got to know Karlie and Kaitlyn first meant so much, and let us know that our furkids were in the best of hands. We continue to visit Dr Hoffman once a year to have the girls eyes check and refer anyone looking for an animal eye doctor to her or to you clinics as we have friends who use other clinic within you group with the same great results"

"I've been bringing my cat in for ongoing treatment for several years now and I cannot say one bad word about this clinic. Dr Collins is wonderful and makes me feel like he truly cares about my cat. Wish he could be my primary vet!! All the support staff has always been great, too! Everyone is friendly & caring."
~Collette L.
"Can't say enough positive comments regarding this facility. Amazing service. Dr. Collins is outstanding! They were a blessing during a very difficult time in our lives! Thank you a million times! It is because of you our dog was able to keep her eye and maintain her vision!"
~Morgan B.W.
"My male King Charles Cavalier had a persistent autoimmune problem with his eyelids. Dr. Collins was concerned not only with the eye health per se but with Frodo's discomfort. Frodo had a complicating situation with a chronic bowel problem in which the medications could give him trouble. Dr. Collins not only consulted often with the referring veterinarian but placed a call to a California specialist in treating the dog. He also worked with me every step of the way and was patient and helpful."

"Everyone was so kind and caring with our Gracie! We were at our wits end trying to figure out what was wrong with her and, when it became obvious that she was loosing her sight, our vet (Dr. Jenna Renshaw) suggested your practice. Even though there's really no treatment for Gracie's vision, it was a big relief to our entire family to know that she'd still be in our home with her "pack." Also, the information you sent along is very helpful in helping us help her adjust. Many thanks and we look forward to seeing you in six months for her check-up!"
~Tom S.
"I can't say enough about the care and professionalism of Dr. Siegler and the staff. I was advised to have a routine eye exam by Hospice of the Valley where I am a Pet Connection team with my dog, Mr. Bud. At the time of the exam Dr. Siegler showed me a mass on Bud's inner eyelid and advised me of the possibility of removal in case of it being a melanoma. I was so impressed with his professional manner, that the decision was made to have the surgery ASAP. The surgery went extremely well, and Bud is recovering very quickly. Everyone at the Eye Care Center loved him, and I was so happily suprised when he received a hand signed get well card from the Dr. and Staff. I would highly recommend the services of this team to anyone who loves their dog and wants the best in eye care."
~Marcie A.
"We have required your services in the past, as well as, most recently. Doctors Paul Barrett, Ronald Sigler, and the entire staff provided excellent care. Additionally, I would like to acknowledge the compassion, understanding, and patience of your veterinary nurse, Kim, in explaining proper administration of Nikita's medication. Thank you for your service!"
~C. Vernon L.

"Gabi has been seeing Dr. MacLaren and her team for over a year now due to complications with her dermatology disease (cutaneous vasculitis), and I can say without a doubt that they are THE BEST at EVERYTHING when it comes to eyecare for your animals. We have dubbed Dr. MacLaren as one of Gabi's team of wizards... If it weren't for their expertise, our Gabi girl wouldn't be with us. There are absolutely no words to describe how absolutely fantastic everyone in this entire office is, and I couldn't recommend them more! I don't believe I have ever met any other group of Veterinarians nor staff members that care as much about animals as they do. Rest assured that you are in THE perfect hands when you bring your pet for a visit! I would and have driven across the country for Gabi to have a checkup! YES, they ARE that good! :) "

"All of the staff who we came in contact with at the Santa Fe offices were very nice, professional, warm, caring people. I particularly liked Katherine Cutter. She was not only open and friendly but also optimistic about Winston's condition and ongoing care. She did not sugar coat anything but if I had any anxiety regarding Winston's eye care, she made me feel quite at ease about it all. When I told Katherine I was deaf, she immediately told me the things "she" needed to do in order to communicate with me (enunciate, speak slowly, etc.) I was impressed since this rarely happens; it is usually me that has to explain to others how to communicate with a deaf person. She did an amazing job. Katherine obviously knows her business and is quite bright but her very friendly way with Winston, myself and my partner was quite a blessing to experience."

"All of the staff were very caring with our 17 yr old tomcat, Cougar. He went from seeing to blind in one day due to extremely high blood pressure. We're so glad our primary vet referred us to this clinic. After being on blood pressure meds for about a week, Cougar mostly regained his eyesight and is back to his happy self. We had a recent followup appointment in which we found his retinas had reattached now that his blood pressure is under control. When we brought Cougar into the clinic, we didn't hold out much hope but after two visits to the clinic, he's seeing well again and all of us in our household are happy, including Cougar!"

"As a medical professional, I have high expectations for medical care for my puppy. This was an unexpected and sudden situation with my 10 mos. old puppy developing a cataract that needed immediate attention. The care, compassion, and level of competency at Eye Care for Animals has exceeded my expectations...I am completely happy with the level of care. Not only has the surgery and care been competent, the staff, from receptionist to opthamologist ...has been kind, caring, and professional. THAT is a mark of excellence."

My "pets" are family. My concern for their physical and emotional welfare is family concern. I knew I'd get the highest quality care for my 5 month old Bichon, Michi. My vet, Havah Haskell, is an incredible doctor, and I can trust her to know and send me to Tucson's best when a specialist is called for. And I got that at ECFA. But, oh, I -- well, make that -- Michi was treated like a queen. Whatever concerns I might have had about her emotional trauma, were completely assuaged when I had to make an unplanned/unannounced return to their office an hour or so after dropping her off.
There was Michi, playing with one of the techs... on the floor... with toys and a make-shift blanket. After surgery, she had Dr. Smith's attention while he cleaned up paperwork waiting for her to arouse fully from sedation. She sat in his lap and played while I was on my way to pick her up. Standard procedure? I dunno. Beats me. Maybe she really is as adorable as I think she is. Do they have time for this? As a rule, I'm sure they don't. But, they did that afternoon.
But here's my point: They -- the staff as well as Dr. Smith -- could just as easily have placed her in a cage and read a book, watched TV, played on Facebook, or texted their friends. They chose to spend that extra time engaged with her. So, if you bring your pet here, you can be comforted in knowing that they REALLY CARE about their furry patients, and that your furry family member will be given genuine care and attention.
I feel truly blessed! Thank you, all of you, for doing such beautiful work on her eyes, her heart and our souls!

"I had gone to my regular vet and he mentioned surgery after treating Wolter for 2 weeks due to a corneal ulcer. I called the clinic and there was an opening ( my lucky day). We got right into the car as we were about 45 minutes away. Dr Fritz examined Wolter and did all testing. He and Sara put Wolter right at ease ( me too) He was very reassuring that there was a good chance Wolter may not need surgery and if he did it would not have been the one recommended by our family vet. He also diagnosed another problem of dry eye which may have lead to his corneal ulcer. If I could say just one thing to anyone one, it would be get a second opinion and go to the professionals. I believe it will make all the difference in your pets outcome. We are so very glad we did!!!! "

"My dog lost his vision on a Thursday night, we seen a local vetrinarian at seven in our home town that said our dog would never see again. Then we went to a specialty clinic at eleven at night and after seeing an Ophthamologist we were referred to Dr. Sisler in Wheeling, IL. Dr. Sisler called us personally Friday. went over everything very thorough on the phone of what to expect and would be able to perform Retinal Reattachment early Tuesday morning. To be able to go from being told my dog would never see again to a 90% chance made my husband and I very greatful people. The staff set everything up over the phone before we arrived to make check in easy and sent me an email with the pet friendly hotels in the area for us. When we got to the clinic everyone was very professional and supportive of us in our time of stress. The evaluation and the surgery were done in one day so we could return home faster. The surgery went great and Dr. Sisler w as able to contact our Ophthamologist so we are able to do our follow-ups closer to home. If it wasn't for the team in Wheeling we would be training our dog how to be blind right now instead of encouraging him through his recovery. I cannot be more thankful for such wonderful people."
