Hawks have impeccable eyesight for hunting, as they can locate prey from 100 feet away. Thanks to having a large amount of pectin, the thin tissue extending from the retina to the lens, hawks have vision up to eight times sharper than humans.


There are a variety of different kinds of birds classified as hawks, united by their relatively large wings and predatory instincts. Hawks are commonly considered to be one of the most intelligent birds. Combined with their amazing eyesight, they are incredibly effective birds of prey.
