Dr. Peterson attended Oklahoma State University, where she earned her bachelor of science degree in Animal Science. She received her veterinary degree from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She then completed a private practice internship at Michigan Veterinary Specialists near Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Peterson completed a three-year veterinary ophthalmology residency program with Eye Care for Animals, after which she became a board certified Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists.
